Eco-Seed Hackathon 3.0 Concludes with Innovative Green Solutions

April 5, 2025 — Creativity, sustainability, and entrepreneurial spirit came together in full force at the Eco-Seed Hackathon 3.0, hosted by Palestine Techno Park as part of the Idea Lab initiative, powered by The Hive Innovation Hub and in proud partnership with Bank of Palestine.

The one-day innovation sprint gathered multidisciplinary teams united by a powerful vision: building innovative, eco-conscious solutions that prove the environment is not just a backdrop to our lives—it’s a vital force shaping every sector, from health and agriculture to technology and industry.

The atmosphere buzzed with purpose as participants prototyped and pitched ideas focused on sustainable impact. After a competitive round of presentations, three standout teams were crowned winners:

1st Place: Healthy Mushroom Farm
Specializing in the cultivation of nutrient-rich, chemical-free mushrooms, this startup champions sustainable farming while protecting the environment. A major leap forward in promoting sustainability in Palestine’s agricultural sector!

2nd Place: Vermi Compost
Using the natural power of earthworms, Vermi Compost transforms organic waste into high-quality compost—reviving soil health and reducing environmental harm.

3rd Place: Waraqa
An AI-powered smart advisory system helping farmers make fast, informed decisions. With smart sensors and digital tools, Waraqa is reshaping farming to be more productive, efficient, and sustainable.

Each winning team received a cash prize sponsored by Bank of Palestine and earned a spot in Palestine Techno Park’s incubation program, where their ideas will be nurtured into scalable, real-world solutions.

“We are proud to see such a high level of innovation and environmental consciousness from our youth and entrepreneurs,” said the organizers. “Eco-Seed is more than a hackathon—it’s a platform for turning green ideas into lasting change.”

Special thanks to all the brilliant participants, expert judges, and partners who made Eco-Seed Hackathon 3.0 a resounding success.
