Palestine Technopark Launches Call for Applications: GreenLoop Hackathon Now Open

Palestine Technopark has officially launched the call for applications for the GreenLoop Hackathon, inviting women, youth, start-ups, and women cooperatives from across Palestine to participate in this transformative initiative. The hackathon aims to empower participants to develop innovative solutions addressing the critical environmental challenges facing Palestine, including climate change, water scarcity, and land degradation. These solutions will focus on promoting the circular economy and sustainable green investment in Palestine.

The GreenLoop Hackathon offers a platform for participants to create impactful, resource-efficient solutions that minimize waste and support green economic growth. By adopting circular economy principles, the hackathon will contribute to the advancement of sustainable agricultural practices in Palestine.

What’s in it for Participants?

  1. Pre-Hackathon Training and Mentorship:  Participants will gain valuable insights and guidance from top industry experts to help refine their ideas and navigate the hackathon process.

  2. Seed Funding:  The top 10 ideas selected by Palestine Technopark will receive seed funding, with an additional 10 projects selected by the Bethlehem Business Incubator (BBI).

  3. Ongoing Support:  Successful participants will receive continuous support to help transform their innovative ideas into sustainable businesses.

  4. Incubation Opportunity:  Winners will secure a spot in Palestine Technopark’s incubation program, gaining access to resources, networks, and expertise to grow their ventures.

Who Can Apply?

The GreenLoop Hackathon is open to women, youth, start-ups, and women cooperatives from the following Palestinian Governorates (Nablus, Jenin, Tubas, Qalqilya, Ramallah, Jerusalem, Tulkarem, Salfit

The GreenLoop Hackathon is part of the Innovative Women and Youth Entrepreneurship Hub for Green Investment and Circular Economy in Palestine initiative. Launched by the Applied Research Institute-Jerusalem (ARIJ) and funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, this initiative is implemented in partnership with Palestine Technopark and the Bethlehem Business Incubator (BBI).
