Launching EcoSeed 3.0 Hackathon: Empowering Green Startups and Driving Environmental Sustainability

At Palestine Technopark, we are committed to empowering entrepreneurs and innovators who are shaping the future of environmental sustainability. That’s why  we announced the launch of EcoSeed 3.0, a green-focused hackathon designed to foster eco-friendly entrepreneurship and turn environmental business ideas into reality.

What is EcoSeed?

EcoSeed isn’t just your average environmental event. It’s a platform where participants have the opportunity to engage in green business solutions, collaborate on sustainable practices, and develop impactful ideas that drive change. The event encourages entrepreneurs, students, and environmental advocates to think critically about how they can contribute to a greener world.

This year, we’ve introduced two exciting tracks to give participants the tools and knowledge they need to succeed:

  • Challenge Track: Teams will showcase their innovative environmental solutions and compete for the chance to make their ideas a reality.
  • Awareness Track: A series of workshops and panel discussions on green business opportunities and strategies to address environmental challenges.

Training Sessions for Participants: Building Skills for Success

Before heading into the competition, participants had the privilege of attending exclusive training sessions with experts and mentors who guided them in sharpening their skills in essential areas like identifying problems and solutions, business model design, and financial strategies.

Here are the highlights from these impactful sessions:

  • Identifying Problems and Solutions in Projects with Trainer Tamer Abu Qahouq
The first session of the EcoSeed 3.0 Challenge focused on Identifying Problems and Solutions in Projects, under the guidance of Tamer Abu Qahouq. During the session, participants explored the Problem Statement Canvas, gaining valuable insights into clearly defining problems, understanding their impact, and articulating the desired outcomes. This session helped participants build a strong foundation for their projects by focusing on understanding core challenges before developing solutions.
  • Designing Innovative Business Models with Expert Rima Abu Safwat

The Lean Canvas model was explored in depth, helping participants design innovative business models for their eco-startups. Rima’s session focused on empowering participants to craft strong, competitive strategies and to think creatively about how to turn their ideas into sustainable businesses.

  • Financial Skills for Startups with Trainer Omar Hamayel

A crucial session that focused on financial planning and budgeting for startups. Omar taught participants how to navigate the complex financial landscape, ensuring that their green ventures would be both financially sustainable and strategically viable in the long run.
