In October 2024, Palestine Technopark, in collaboration with PalSteam and led by trainer Ameen Ghosheh, hosted a series of interactive workshops as part of its Fab Lab activities, focusing on 3D printing and modeling. These sessions aimed to introduce students and community members to cutting-edge technologies, enhancing their technical skills and understanding of 3D printing.
On Monday, October 21, the Fab Lab held its first 3D Printing and Modeling Workshop. This session offered participants an in-depth introduction to 3D printing fundamentals, covering the printing process, various types of printers and filaments, and an overview of model preparation and slicer software. The workshop also featured a showcase of 3D-printed models, providing practical examples of the technology’s versatility across design, engineering, and manufacturing fields.
Following the success of the initial session, a second workshop was conducted on Saturday, October 26, specifically for commerce students from Birzeit University. This tailored workshop focused on the principles and applications of 3D printing within their field of study. Through hands-on demonstrations and expert guidance, students gained valuable insights into how 3D printing can be leveraged in business and industry, broadening their perspectives on its real-world uses and potential.
These workshops exemplify Palestine Technopark’s commitment to fostering innovation and skill development within the community. By partnering with local experts and educational institutions, Palestine Technopark continues to empower individuals with the modern technological knowledge essential for today’s rapidly evolving workforce.
Stay tuned for more transformative workshops at the Fab Lab, where technology and creativity converge to drive community growth!
