Palestine Techno Park showcases virtual and augmented reality technologies to Birzeit University students

Palestine Techno Park in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Birzeit University, organized a virtual and augmented reality technology event to provide participants with a special opportunity to experimentally explore these technologies through hands-on experience with applications supervised by experts in this field from the park.

During the event, the director of Techno Park, Rasem Suwan, said, "This is a great opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with these technologies, in which Techno Park is a pioneer, and seeks to enhance them in Palestine." Suwan emphasized that this event is one of the activities "that Techno Park seeks to hold in its innovation labs, including research labs, artificial intelligence, financial technology, and internet-connected technological devices."

On his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at Birzeit University, Dr. Wasel Ghanem, said that this day acquainted students with the latest virtual and augmented reality technologies, which have become pivotal in various fields such as health, education, tourism, business, and others. Dr. Ghanem stressed the importance of exposing students from all disciplines in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology to these technologies, encouraging them to target them in their graduation projects, so that Birzeit University and Palestine can contribute to building these applications.

It is worth mentioning that one of Technopark's missions is to introduce university students, professors, entrepreneurs, and technology sector employees to the rapidly advancing technologies used worldwide, bringing these parties together under one roof to encourage research in innovation labs in education, agriculture, industry, tourism, and other vital sectors, adapting them to the needs of local and global markets.

This event is part of ongoing activities carried out by Technopark to disseminate knowledge in these modern technologies.
