Tech Circles Kick off: Empowering Palestine's Tech by Palestinian Diaspora Professionals.

The Palestine Technopark, in partnership with the Canadian Palestinian Professional Foundation (CPPF),  launched the Tech Circles Program yesterday. This is a groundbreaking initiative, born from the Technopark Palestine Diaspora Network. The Tech Circles mission is set to revolutionize the Palestinian tech sector by providing personalized guidance and real-world expertise to Palestinian professionals.

The kickoff event, held via Zoom, witnessed an inspiring convergence of Palestinian tech professionals, alongside esteemed guests including the Palestinian Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Natsheh, and Ms Salma Zahid MP, Member of Parliament in the House of Commons of Canada and President of the Canada Palestine parliamentary friendship group.  Their presence underscored the significance of collaboration between the Palestinian diaspora and those within Palestine, emphasizing the importance of unity and shared vision in driving technological advancement.

Over 100 people attended"The collaboration between the Palestinian diaspora and those within Palestine is pivotal for the growth and success of our tech industry," remarked Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Natsheh. "Tech Circles embodies this spirit of collaboration, offering a platform for mentorship and skill development that will empower Palestinian professionals to thrive in the global tech landscape."

Salma Zahid MP echoed these sentiments, expressing her pride in the Canadian Palestinian mentors who will be supporting Palestinian tech professionals. "This initiative represents the power of solidarity and mentorship in unlocking the potential of Palestinian talent," she affirmed.

The Tech Circles program has already garnered overwhelming interest, with a significant number of applicants from Gaza and the West Bank. As the program enters its filtration phase, it is poised to select a cohort of motivated individuals who will benefit from tailored mentorship and skill development opportunities. Each Tech Circle will consist of six members: one mentor from Palestinian Canadian tech professionals, three chosen applicants from Gaza, and two from the West Bank.

The Tech Circles Program is scheduled to commence on May 5th, offering a unique platform for Palestinian tech professionals to thrive. Through one-on-one mentorship and industry insights, the program aims to strengthen human capital and drive innovation necessary for Palestine's digital transformation.
